She always sounds like her breath is trying to catch up with her gob when she talks, she always sounds out of breath.

And bang wrong if she thinks he "doesn't mean it".

It's that yappy accent that so many young Americans seem to have these days

It's weird, isn't it?  I don't dislike an American accent but hers just rattles my bars.
Perhaps it's the intonation or the delivery..??

I have never seen the attraction that some people see in Shaun. I find him quite surly.

Kayla's voice is yappy i'll give you that.

Shaun is just so miserable and grumpy. I don't know what people like about him.

I love Shaun's permanent state of confusion.   He's got no idea what he's done or what he's meant to do.  Passing any task comes with a totally bemused expression.
