Angry Katie Price stormed out of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here last night after being nominated for a seventh Bushtucker Trial.

She told the other contestants she’d had enough of being singled out for the revolting challenges. Producers spent several hours trying in vain to persuade her to stay.

ITV last night confirmed that Katie, who ate kangaroo bottoms and fish eyes in earlier tasks, had gone.

Katie Price has quit I'm A Celebrity after viewers voted for her to do a seventh Bushtucker trial in a row.

The model, better known as Jordan, has threatened to walk several times before.

But at 3am today UK time, an official spokesman for ITV admitted: "I can confirm that Katie Price has left the jungle."

Katie chatted to producers in the Bush Telegraph before departing thejungle. She was escorted to the five-star Palazzo Versace hotel, near Surfers Paradise, but was whisked in via a side entrance to avoid photographers.

She is expected to do a live chat on the ITV1 show this evening to explain her departure to Ant and Dec.

It appears that being voted for the seventh Bushtucker Trial in a row was the last straw for Katie. When she was told she had been chosen to take part in the Bad Pitt challenge, she said, "No way. I swore on my kids' lives I'm not doing any more.

"I have said to them I am not doing it." The glamour girl had threatened to quit the show repeatedly.

During her sixth Bushtucker Trial, she gasped: "Is there any way I can get out? I wish I was in Exile camp because then I would be up for eviction. And I would love to be the one going out.

"I am drained. This is mental torture now what the public are doing to me now. Am I loved or hated? I don't know."

The former wife of Peter Andre may lose her reported fee of £350,000 - or at least some of it by leaving the show early.

She said, "If I walk out, then I don't need the money. Others in there do. I don't. I've got money. I have just done a big book tour. This isn't about the money anyway."

Well, I have a feeling they may get less food now, because the public aren't going to keep voting for Kim to do the trials, and I can't really see the others having any guts, so to speak.

The editor of Heat was on Sky news this morning - he said, in his experience of her business skills, he would have expected her to have negotiated that she would be paid in full even if she walked

And, like her or loathe her, she has made the show this first week Glad she's gone though, now we can see more of the others
