It was known as Spew at my school and the blancmange dessert was Pink Lint....it was horrible

It wasnt a proper blancmange unless it could survive holding the plate upside down....

You could build a wall with ours, the skin on it was about an inch thick

sounds like the same stuff i was put off of curry, custard and blancmange for years after .

Ambrosia?  thats what cured me   and if it wasnt for an indian friend who insisted we went for an indian at his friends restaurant for his birthday I would still not have eaten a curry again.

Bird's Instant....We didn't have curry at school, but my parents were in India for a while and she kept cooking it and trying to make me eat it......no chance and I still don't

Depends how old you are really   to be fair i dont think they had much of a budget and were people who had grown up during the war cooking it so you darent complain
