No...  the thread did need someone to give the biker side of things...   I was crap at it... but thats cos I decided after six months of riding on the back of one that there are much easier & comfier ways to travel!

It wouldn't bother me, but it's unlikely to ever happen  He's far too busy being a captain of industry and providing gainful employment to folks. When he's not doing that, he's usually busy doing other things - namely, me!

I wouldn't mind at all.  If he had come onto C4 and seen all the smut that would have been a different story though

But we post together on another forum, well we post around each other really...he's really quite a cranky poster

I've read my hubby's posts on his forum...  he comes across as a right pompous twa...

See now Temps mine can out smut anyone I've ever met without even trying....I think he doesn't even realise he's doing it half the time...it took me a good couple of years to get used to it..

It was my husband who first introduced me to forums....we were both on the same one (though not at the same time, I went on during the day and he went on when i was in bed at night)...I ended up being made a mod there but was stripped of that when i gave him my log in so he could read all the secret stuff that was in mod chat...including the other mods moaning about him baiting one of the other members.

Mr L used to post on GBBF now and again.  he found it all a bit *meh* after a while though, couldn't get his head round the petty stuff.

Wouldn't bother me if he wanted to. Though if I ever got to the typing "could you get me a glass of water" stage while we were in the same room I'd consider shooting myself.

What about if your mum finally stopped lurking and started posting?

On MSN years back there were a couple who used to do that. She'd be downstairs and he'd be upstairs. He'd post 'Can you bring me up a packet of fags' and she'd forget and carry on chatting and next thing he'd go 'Can't you read?! Where's me tabs?'. I did wonder why he didn't just shout down the stairs to her instead of posting to her through the internet

Cos that sounds just like a couple I knew...

My first post on Channel 4 Wife Swap forum was greeted with such hostility and it really upset me. I'd never posted on a forum before and was shocked at the hostile reaction.

My son then aged about 19 immediately joined the forum and gave a torrent of abuse to those who'd upset me ...............he was banned immediately! I often wonder if it was the quickest ban in Ch4 Forum history (bless him).

Ooh I missed this earlier. Mammy Leccy is currently and has been for months sunning herself down under!

His name was Rob I can't remember the wife's name (they had their own usernames).

They lived in Manchester somewhere? (I think) and had 2 kids with another on the way (but this was years ago)

I have an Uncle in Melbourne and an Auntie in Auckland so she gets to jet off every bleeding year now, jammy sod.

Sometime she spilts between the two but this year just NZ.  Back in Feb.

My in laws go every year or two for a couple of months at a time....Most of Marks family are out there....they get to stay Sidney, Canberra, Adelaide and Kangaroo Island...

Nice.  She has mate in the Bay of Islands too and goes there and Rotarua.

omg!!!   all of that fits...   Rob was the RL friend of my first internet bf..   he was a bit of wassak (i thought)...   Jane was so obviously flirting & stuff with other blokes ...   her blocking him at one point kinda confirmed that.

She screwed up her computer by trying to flash upgrade the mother board or something...  and he wouldn't let her on his...    she used it when he was out, leaving the auto sign in box ticked..  he came home...  got into her account.. and she was banged to rights so to speak!

& yeah Karma...   was 1999 ish

Years ago on the first forum me and the husband used to chat to a lot of them same people...we chatted to some of them on MSN as well...till some woman put the webcam on and started shoving her toys up her on cam....he was horrified switche dit off and came running up to tell me....he said she was dog rough and he was traumatised!

And yet...she still keeps trying to add the pair of us on Facebook!

Yes! He was a bit of a twunt sometimes,loved the Stereophonics too cos we used to talk about them. You know what? That mother board thing rings bells, although I never heard the reason why. I remember his missus screwed up the PC somehow and he was fixing it. And it was around the same time (or very early 2000's). It could be coincidence but ooooh imagine!

Oh Dits! The pair of them had dark hair and wore glasses (but don't know if that was just i the pictures they showed or for PC use or whatever)

Rob used to follow Jane around from room to room (pming my bf with outraged message if  he caught her in the 30's & cheating room..   or the married & cheating room.... etc

& yeah... twas early 2000 when he started trying to fix her pooter for her.... my bf used to spend hours on the phone talking about pooter bits n stuff ...,   before then going into one slagging off Jane!

The MSN rooms was where I met them, Grapevine chat if I remember rightly? (It was the main MSN/Grapevine room, the busiest one)

I got kicked out of an MSN chatroom once for saying I liked a man with facial hair.  I was warned by a bot to never use the word "facial" again, took a few seconds for me to twig why

Lecs I used to get the PM's from the mad fellas in Egypt. The only English they knew was A/S/L, and then it would be broken English 'Hello?' (pause) 'Hello? Why no you speek with me English roose'

I used to post f*** off in capital letters. I think they understood that.
