There is no gain this time around but I think the Zeleb mags are hungry for new frontpagers so there is still some sort of fame at the end of it all.

But what if you weren't thinking about the fame afterwards (less likely anyway, if no-one's seen you apart from on highlights), more about being willing to be locked up all summer.

If you know peeps can see you every day, I can see why it might be worth it. But if you may as well have disappeared to Siberia, I really can't see why anyone would give up their whole summer for it.

Maybe they won't be there all the time...

If there's no live feed the housemates could sneak out during the night and see their family. If they let slip some info about the outside world it could quickly be edited out of the main show.

To answer your question though, no way would I go into the BB House for the summer.

1. Would not be able to leave my son for so long.
2. Doubt very much that I'd get on with the other housemates.
3. Wouldn't fancy the whole country watching me do my doings.
4. Deffo don't want the nasty side of fame either.
5. If I was in big brother, I couldn't watch it

If they stop making BB how will i ever fulfill my life ambition of being on it
Oh well guess i can still aim to get on the Jeremy Kyle show

But there will be nightly one hour shows, and the livefeed at night so its not that bad....

I dont think anyone goes into BB for the experience anymore... So people will do what they have to do for fame.

I think that anyone who does it now has to be a huge BB fan who simply wants the experience. It doesn't provide automatic entry into zelebdom any more and in fact he only HM who seems to have prospered in recent years is Chanelle Hayes and that's only because she has a deep emotional relationship with the front page of the Daily Star.

True, but I'd still feel cheated if I'd agreed to give up my summer and then realised the limited amount of airtime the show was going to get.

Not that I'd do it for a squillion quid but if I did, yeah I'd feel like it was a waste of time, I'd want people to get to see the whole picture...not soundbites.

I do agree with you but now there is a front page vacancy in the Zeleb mags (I mean how long will people continue to read about Cheryl/Kate/Kerry/Victoria)..

These mags are eagely waiting for BB so that can have something to feel their pathetic pages with

True, especially nowadays when Housemates complain about bad edits.... I feel sorry for the producer edited baddie/boring housemate(s) this year

I suppose the thing to do would be to build your strategy around the likely airtimes, that is to say, I reckon the isomniac has the edge. Not neccessarily guaranteed to win the show but in terms of becoming 'known' just virtue of being there while the rest are in Zzzzland.

Me neither, CO - it just occurred to me that if I'd gone through the whole audition rigmarole and agreed to jack my job and give up my summer, I'd feel a bit cheated when I found out I wasn't going to get the same coverage all the previous HMs got
