Sorry to be a pain...

but hubby has entered a photo competition.. the theme is "Journeys".

he has two entries...

In the middle of the Atlantic (edit - proper title is "Sailing into the Sunset")

Egyptian Children (edit - proper title is "Children on the Street")

If you could spare a couple of minutes to click on these links & vote for his pics, we'd be dead grateful. He needs to get about 1000 votes... as the top 20 pics with the most votes go through to the judges. He's not after winning it, he is after second prize (a Nikon Camera).

You may have to verify your age... & then come back here again and click on the links to get to his pics... sorry, there doesn't seem to be a way round that palava!

Sorry for being as bit stupid, but got thru putting my date of birth in, looking at the pics...do you click on the yellow thingy to vote for the fav pic? I clicked on one, info came up and didnt know what to do after that

I was there when he took the pic of the kids in Egypt.. he gave them each the equivalent of a few english pounds (in egyptian pounds) afterwards.... and they were bewildered and we had to assure them that he didn't want anything else from them!

I wasn't there when he took the atlantic one.. those were the days in his life when he was footloose & fancy free (though we did talk online then )

hahahaha... I dunno what we'd do if we won first place...

first prize is a 10 day tour of Scotland... I have nothing against Scotland, but its a trip for 2, and we are a family of 4... well 4 and a half (if you include the dog).. ... we'd have to have a think... I think its a tour of whiskey distillery's..

second, third & fourth prizes are all stuff Mr D would quite like.

oh, & if we did win first prize.. we've decided we would give it my mum & dad, as a thank you for all the financial support they have given us whilst we have been getting back on our feet (after redundancy & whilst I wasn't working).. holidays were one of the things they sacrificed to help us... dad likes a bit of scotch, and they could take their little dog with them.

So now I am even excited about winning first prize too!

I agree James, loads of fabulous photos but a bit of a pita to scroll through them all...Anyways what's all this about fair, isn't it how many interwebby mates you can get to vote for you?...Oh and clearing your cookies and putting another random dob in allows you to re-vote...Not that I'd dream of doing that of course
