Tbh I wouldn't pay money to see any of today's so called comedians. There's 1 or two I like but I watch them on tv lol.
Well OP, you can't say you entering into the work of unknown quantity when it comes to Paul Merton.
I quite like him. Perhaps his style doesn't translate well to theatre though.

Paul Merton can be funny but his shtick is pretty predictable, flights of fancy and stretching absurd scenarios to new conclusions. Sometimes it works, sometimes it's a bit tiresome.

It is. He cracks me up most of the time, but I remember bits of his TV series that were a bit kind of " ahh right, cuppa anyone ? "
Ross Noble made me laugh my bits off though .. went to see him a bit reluctantly and left a total convert!
