I'd love to do that too. Nod
I'm going to Dublin for three nights next week, but to be honest I'd prefer some peaceful and scenic isolation instead.
Barra in the Outer Hebrides would do Nod
I'm off to Wales next month thinking of going up Snowden, not walking though on the train Laugh I love the nature around us Toid, and love taking pics of which I put on FB Smiler

Nice Nod
Do us a favour though - puhleeeze don't end up being one of those dafties we see in the news here all the time. The sort who go up (or walk down) Snowdon in t-shirts and flipflops, because they've never seen a mountain before and think it must be easy. Then end up having to be rescued. Crazy
They're nearly always from the Midlands, Manchester or Merseyside Laugh

My mum's just got nack from the Lakes, lovely bit of the world. I like the Yorkshire and Derbyshire Dales, too.
When I was on Barra, we walked the 13 miles all around it and hardly saw a soul Thumbs Up
Nothing beats getting out in the fresh air for a good yomp over the countryside!

This thread looked like real fun last night, sorry I missed it but have enjoyed reading and Laugh Oooo and am thinking how lucky I am that have been to so many of the places mentioned, see the Yorkshire Dales and Moors every day and was up in the highlands of Scotland just a couple of weeks ago......But, if I could be anywhere right now, would rather be in Turkey in one of my sister's beautiful villas, or with my nephew in Sydney Australia, rather than at stressy work mid inspection followed by hospital for an op!
