Are there kids messing around in the class and perhaps she feels inhibiting her learning?,she may be eager to learn Jen and if something or someone is interfering with that it could be playing on her mind.Grab the opportunity to have a chat and see what if anything is on her mind, could be something or nothing you know kids.

Talking of grandparents saying strange things ........................we used to run up the road to meet my grandad on the way home from work and put our arms up for him to pick us up. He'd shout jokingly 'Billow, billow' He was sort of saying calm down, calm down.

I've never heard anyone say that before or since. Never knew where it came from (wish I'd asked). he was a SE Londoner but don't think it's used there. he was in the royal navy during the war and I wonder if it has naval connotations.

Anyone heard it before or know what it means/where it comes from?

billow - The swell on the ocean produced by the wind, or on a river or estuary by the tide or wind.

I'd go with the sunshine, BUT, no rain , no rainbows, would be a shame for those to happen only when we are sleeping

Snow..can't agree with that at all, love snow
