Because it's not Christmas yet. Why do people start wishing each other happy Christmas from November onwards?

I don't wish anyone anything in November (unless it's their birthday), but I think the Christmas messages on the forum are being posted because some people are travelling and/or won't have the time to wish the non grumpy's a happy time.

I actually feel comfortable saying Merry Christmas from about the 20th inwards. Prior to that is a bit premature and unnecessary IMO.
