Once you go rollie that's it for filtered fags. You'll smoke em in a pinch, but they seem to fall short of the mark.

That's bad because it means an elevated nicotine level to satiate. BUT. Unlike filtered smokes you are free from the chemicals contained in normal ciggies..4000 approximately for most brands of filtered fags.

As do I OHG. Bizzarely that is one huge plus compared to the filters in ciggarettes. As I said those filters have a reported average of 4000 chemicals. The filters for rollies..i'm guessing Swan like me - are simply foam based - devoid of said chemicals.

Been there buddy. Improvised filters of torn strips of Rizla packs provide a cheaper less effective alternative in a pinch. Usually synonomous with smoking the weed I know..but I don't touch that stuff..tried it and did not like the effect one bit.

Aaagh the old roche..I was the inventor of the McSpliff..I had friends into the stuff but they ran out of skins so I had McD's straws..took the straw out and dropped the contents in..waghlagh..the McSliff.... Ninja

After watching HM's at the bus stop a friend decided to try roll ups as she was finding the packets too expensive and she thought they made it look easy. She's made me laugh with describing how difficult they are to do.

They're usually too loose or a funny shape, she can't find the right amount to put in the papers, they keep going out and she struggles with getting the filter just right. She says they take so long the cravings gone by then but is still persevering but it's making her crotchety lol. Can any of you give me any tips I can pass on to her, like how long does it take to get them just right etc

Started as a financial thing.... but like others have said.. then preferred them.

I do keep a packet of normal fags about, in case I need one quick.

Also.... I use about ten filters per rolly when I am at home... I keep changing the filter... cos I don't like it when they get all yellow!

Don't suppose there's any all encompassing 'right way' tbh. Every smoker does it slightly different in one way or another.

Here's my way. Just hold the Rizla in one hand with the filter in yer gob whilst you work. Grab a bit of baccy with the other paw and just deposit it on the Rizla. It's not artwork, just spread it round, with none at the end intended for the filter. Once arranged, take the filter an put it in that gap you left free from adorning with baccy. Use both hands to roll it gently..not tight or that will compress the tobacco making it hard/impossible to smoke. Roll the cig from there, lick the sticky segment and adhese. Voila your cancer stick should be sufficiently intact to smoke and enjoy

Do you mean roll the tobacco before putting it in the papers? that's something I remember she mentioned, that she can't roll it in the papers so they come out flat lol
