try money sving expert website kelly they have a section for people in debt and how to deal with balifs ect

I can't really offer any advice Kelly but I reckon Veggie's idea of seeing someone at the CAB is a good idea, even if you've seen them before they should still be able to offer advice now your circumstances have changed again.

Yea thers an upfront fee (about £340) and i maybe charge £150 after that.

For that amount, I wouldn't Bankrupt myself......Why not try the CAB for some advice on an admininstration order or an IVA? Bankruptcy is so...final!

Another forum mate from another site I use has just BR'ed herself and was really interogated by the Official Reciever about where she managed to find the money to bankrupt herself but not find the money to pay off her debts, so be prepared Chick!

If family or friends cant prove that they own the equipment they will deem it as yours and will use it as your assets

Then that seems a bit quick for the bailiffs, to me. You should be able to talk to the firm you owe money to (or is it the council) and make some sort of arrangement to pay off as and when you can.

And I wouldn't declare yourself bankrupt for 8k. To you, it might seem a large amount, but in the scheme of things, it's a small amount.

I made a £250 cash payment (this was when the bailiffs came to my flat and took notes of my belonging without me knowing. They then gave me a payment plan of around £140 a month which i thought was due to start 16/07/09. She rang today because the payment was due 30/06/09. So now its make full payment or we will take your stuff. Cant make full payment
