Well, finally managed to get to an eviction! Unsurprisingly for me (the one time I got to see Never Mind The Buzzcocks was the day Preston had his tantrum!), the filming didn't go quite to plan! I got to the studios about 6pm and there were already loads of people there, although it turns out I was in the first 300 of 900 in the audience. It doesn't look like there's that many on the tv does it? We didn't get into the compound until after 8 so obvs things had gone a bit wrong as that's when it was supposed be on tv. but then someone said that the show would actually be on at 9. Warm up guy came on then lovely Davina who stayed on stage chatting for a while which was nice as we'd all been waiting soooo long and it was freeeeezing! She explained that Stephanie had had a funny turn in the house (apparently they had to send the st john's ambulance in!) and so all the dessing up/task plans had gone out the window. The producers we're basically winging the whole thing and having to keep re-writing her auto script as they weren't sure what was happening! Despite that it was all very slick... Davina is actually a real pro. The broadcast wasn't quite live as there was a 15 min time delay etc so they just whizzed through the whole thing. I had a good position to the right of the stairs and really near where Davina's 'circle' is although I was about six people back and all the pople in front had massive banners! The weird thing is that its so noisy that you cant actually hear anything that's going on in the live bits. It was a bit annoying because you want to cheer and boo when she says their names but you cant hear! In fact I couldn't even tell who had been evicted until Ivana came out the door LOL! After her interview they went straight to Nicola's eviction. Lots of sympathy in the audience as I think a lot of people thought she was very sweet. Best comedy moment that you wont have seen was Nicola getting a piggy-back on the catwalk because she didn't have any shoes but because her dress was so short she flashed her bum at us! (co-ordinating black undies FYI). But then, they chucked us all out as they said they had to clear the compound so we didn't even get to see Nicola's exit interview which was a shame. The really weird thing was that because of the time delay and the fact that I live quite near to the house meant that I watched Nicola coming out at the studio, went home, put on the tv, then watched her coming out 'live' on C4 - bizarre!
