The clock struck midnight on the 30th April which signalled that I had made it through 16 weeks of a confectionary fast.
Not a single piece of chocolate has passed my lips, not a boiled sweet, cup cake or slice of Victoria sponge.
I've battled through birthday's, Easter and the temptation of the biscuits which are part and parcel of the coffee break during courses.
The secret: tell everyone your doing it and there is little opportunity to fail (unless you go home brandishing illicit confectionary purchases).
So my treat will be a Magnum ice cream.
I may do another 16 weeks later in the year.
