Its on next Wednesday

The piano bit is in the ads too. Its a really interesting series actually.

The piano bit that the narrator talks over? It doesn’t sound off-key so unlikely to be Thelonious.

I'm eating carrot cake

I'm eating pancakes - Scottish style.

In what style do the Scots eat their pancakes then?

Bet that Fremsley knows

I bet he does too.

Why do I think it was used for a car ad..?

I vaguely remember that. They've no shame

I was a bit slow off the mark here and didn't know specifically what piece of music was being referred to - once I heard it I recognized it immediately, but by then I'd already been beaten to it...

As it happens, "Unsquare Dance" crops up a lot in adverts and trailers (and yes: I'm certain it was used in at least one car ad...)

Heheh - happens all the time, Cosmo.

Reminds me of a story Geoffrey Perkins used to tell about the original radio series of "The Hitchhikers's Guide to the Galaxy". As soon as the first episode was broadcast, loads of people wrote in asking what the theme music was. Once they were told it was "Journey of the Sorcerer" by the Eagles, many were surprised to find they already had it in their record collections...

There's a programme about Great Expectations tonight BBC4  8.30-9 pm:

http://www.radiotimes.com/epis...1-great-expectations

Documentary series exploring classic works of fiction, beginning with TV script writer Tony Jordan examining Charles Dickens' popular novel Great Expectations. The presenter investigates why the author changed the ending of the book, and asks what this tells the reader about the writer. Plus, the original texts and manuscripts are examined, which offer clues about the novelist's troubled life, and may have influenced whether Pip would have a future with Estella in the story.
