I am from an incredibly posh Clydebank background… my dad served his apprenticeship (as a “sparks") for John Brown & Co. while my mum assembled sewing machines at Singers.

Hi Rexi. I'm back home now, travelled back on Friday, so no air show.

I'm good at missing/ sabotaging it.

1st year I was a week too early.

2nd year the weather was awful and it was cancelled

3rd year was the year where one of the pilots died whilst practising - and it was cancelled.

I've given up! (Forgot about it actually.)

We did see some planes flying in formation when we were at Sandbanks on Thursday and the Red Arrows flew over my sister's house. I thought it was just practice!

My folks had migrated to London long before i was born.

Shame! The reason I mentioned Hall Street was because one of the main gates to John Browns Shipyard was at the end of Hall Street.

The clue may be in the write up, Rog;  Thelonious Monk was a jazz pianist......

Ta Cosi   Its in the other two programmes on Paris and Vienna. I've heard it before just can't put a name it. Its more snappy than Thelonius Monk I think. Good detective guesswork though 

Monk was banned from performing in New York for a number of years.
