If the whinging had been once or twice then certainly people could say so what. But what I personally found with that FM was on a (very) regular basis he would complain about treated badly as a newbie, and he wasn't. From what I saw (and I don't read every thread or post on here so I could be wrong), he posted away and people either posted with him as normal or ignored if they'd rather not post with him because of previous spats or whatever.
Then out of what seemed nowhere he would start moaning about how he was treated so badly on here which then started an influx of the 'REAL' stuff (because this was typical 'REAL' behaviour). I can understand why people got pissed off with Jonesy's complaints about this forum and the people on here, I did and told him so. It would then all calm down and he would start again within a couple of weeks. It was like being stuck on a roundabout and this forum is too small for it. But his complaints were unwarranted because he posted here for ages and was involved in a lot of threads with no baiting (from what I saw). I could never understand his complaints or why, if he did feel that way, to just post with those who spoke to him and ignore those who didnt. I can't remember who said it but there was a post saying that Jonesey was the one who would initiate the conflict and I agree with that. It's human nature that if someone persistently complains about being treated badly but wasn't, people will respond eventually. I couldn't understand his agenda with it but it did become tiresome.
BUT I do see finger wagging and tutting from a couple of people who were only too quick to get stuck into the Jonesey and 'REAL' slating when the little volcano would erupt again.

when I did post & that FM was around I know I personally tended to avoid them. And I'm not here that much but couldn't be bothered with the fuss & bother

You're right Stonks and people are trying to point out that this thread is not about him but that Members felt someone was bullied into deregging. I agree that maybe he brought a lot of it on himself.
I haven't felt comfortable posting here since last Summer during Big Brother. It was horrendous. I wish people would think twice before they post comments about other members - no one knows what is going in other people's lives or what their frame of mind is. What's that they say about walking a mile in my shoes.............

No, not quite It should have ended with the FM who started the whole thing rolling, and getting it so very wrong, at least having the courtesy to own her mistake and offer an apology.
Instead she lit the blue touchpaper, scuttled away and, seemingly, has had nothing further to say on the subject. I'm sure the PMs on this whole issue must flying thick and fast, though
The only reason I have re-entered this thread is because I feel very strongly that, in this instance, Jonesy was owed an apology. Whatever you may or may not think of him, he was definitely owed that.

Well as the accuser didn't re-enter the thread.....what can I say?...Yes it should have been sorted, but it wasn't...and yes Jonesey was due an apology and not just from the original accuser, but those who couldn't help but jump on a passing bandwagon

Col, this is the sort of thing that Lori is talking about I think. It's certainly about the point I was making earlier.
I have no idea if Sparkles was ever anyone else on here or C4, pretty much don't care either tbh as I've never ever seen Sparkles being unpleasant or making trouble.
But I have seen her (I'm assuming Sparkles is female) being accused several times of being someone else with no shred of proof and once the finger pointing starts then it snowballs and some people will say there's no smoke without fire. I've even seen several posts accusing her and cupcake (another fm that I've never seen being anything but pleasant) of being the same person.
I get that there are previous fms (whether banned or not) who some people can't stand. There's one that I would cross the street to avoid.
But you know what? If a new fm is one that has been banned or caused aggro before then it won't be long until they do it again - some people just can't help themselves.
Until then I reckon we should give any newbie the benefit of the doubt
Neither do I and never intended to aim at any FM personally. I just don't like Lori's interference when there's a row on here. What's wrong with that? We've had rows for years and years. Why should somebody interfere with that unless it gets nasty? We used to think this forum had better moderation than C4, but at least they let us have a good argument without patronising us.
