I should be clearer about my prior post (last page): Feel free to talk about what went wrong, and how to move forward, but I don't want to hear anything from anyone about whether or not Jonesy was a former FM.

You know, free speech is pretty free here. You get to say pretty much whatever you want about almost anything (a few curse words excepted, but that number is less than 5). You even get to say that you don't like this product, that you don't agree with the moderation, etc. But when you start talking crap about OTHER FMS?? That's where the line is drawn.

Have to admit Lori, I was also gobsmacked by the comments..(bolded)  It is OBVIOUS why you have said what you said... to me anyway,.... (and to many others I reckon!

It's become very obvious that this finger pointing and accusations and so on - (not just on this occasion, but in the recent and not so recent past,) has caused much discord and disharmony.  Whilst there is obvious history between a few FMs, the constant drilling and mocking of newbies (from a few FMs,) and accusations of old usernames amongst other accusations gets very tiresome and tedious. 

Most people genuinely just want to move on and start over, and it's hard when someone starts sniping, especially when the person in question has done nothing to warrant it.  It keeps happening, and I am glad that it's not being tolerated any longer...

The moment some FMs disagree, you are in the long grass waiting to tell them to stop disagreeing. I'm shaking my head too about your moderation. It should be possible to have an argument on here without you or Dave telling us we're wrong.

It's never really been a discussion though Cologne. It's always come across as hounding and baiting. OK he whinged about not being accepted. So what? Did it warrant the threads or posts that were made to wind him up and make fun of him? Did it warrant him being made a fool of in threads that were totally unrelated to him and he'd never posted in? A bit of perspective might tell everyone that this was a "joke" that went too far and the result is he de-regged. That's not something to be proud of.....those who drove him to that should be ashamed.

I didn't realise a new forum member or a returning one had to be the topic of conversation, or had to have the members approval to be here   Bliddy hell we'll be down to single figures the rate we are going, live and let live or if we can't do that post around those that apparently don't meet your approval. It must be awful to come on here and find yourself the topic of discussion and worse still not be here to even voice your opinions.... whoever it maybe.

Well said Dame.  I think it's a shame that people feel driven away... and thats why I am glad this is being addressed...hopefully, people who have felt like they need to leave will come back soon.    Most people here are nice after all...

But you know what? If a new fm is one that has been banned or caused aggro before then it won't be long until they do it again - some people just can't help themselves.

Until then I reckon we should give any newbie the benefit of the doubt

Col, this is the sort of thing that Lori is talking about I think. It's certainly about the point I was making earlier.

I have no idea if Sparkles was ever anyone else on here or C4, pretty much don't care either tbh as I've never ever seen Sparkles being unpleasant or making trouble.

But I have seen her (I'm assuming Sparkles is female) being accused several times of being someone else with no shred of proof and once the finger pointing starts then it snowballs and some people will say there's no smoke without fire. I've even seen several posts accusing her and cupcake (another fm that I've never seen being anything but pleasant) of being the same person.

I get that there are previous fms (whether banned or not) who some people can't stand. There's one that I would cross the street to avoid.

But you know what? If a new fm is one that has been banned or caused aggro before then it won't be long until they do it again - some people just can't help themselves.
