I remember when there were no mobile phones.

I remember when there was no internet.

I remember when there were only 4 tv channels and the telly went off at night and just beeped.

I remember when we used to go down the phone box & ring the operator on '0', tell her to get off the line cos there's a train coming or ask what colour her knickers were.

I remember when there was a chip van come round the estate and it wasn't a health and safety issue to have a mobile inferno with kiddies queuing outside it.

I remember when summer lasted forever and there were proper snowy christmases.

What do you remember? Witch

I remember when we all rode chopper bikes.

I remember when dog poo was white.

I remember when a boy was cool if he carried his own bit of lino around with him!

What did happen to white dog poo, I've forgotten? And what was the lino for? Eeker

The lino was for break dancing (only the cool kids had their OWN lino)

I think white dog poo was the result of something in the dog food back then! Its disappearance is a mystery. I miss it!

I remember sitting there all sunday afternoon/evening... with the tape recorder buttons "play" "record" & "pause" all pressed.... unpressing pause when a good song came on. And then running back in and realising you hadn't repressed pause in time...

remember when a 10p mix up was actually 10p, and a can of coke was about 45p and a mars bar was about 30p!

I was thinking this the other night, you could get 4 bars for a Β£1[/quote]

My God, half the 'remembered' things on here only happened last Wednesday - Packet of fags 1/6 - you could buy woodbines in fives. Mars Bar 6d - if they had gone white 3d. One telly channel and it was on 5 to 6 then closed until 7 finished for the night at 10. A really big telly was 17 inch.

I remember the first time I saw a tv, it was our posh neighbours and half the street were crowded in their front room to watch it a tiny little screen in a box the size of a wardrobe.(1957...I was 4)

I remember getting half a crown pocket money,

I remember getting the cane for whistling in school

I remember when only posh people owned a car
I remember finding a 10 bob note in the street n me n my 4 mates
running to the sweet shop n the lady in the shop asking where I had
got ALL that money from
I remember crying my eyes out when I found out there is no Santa (last year)
