Charlie is hard to like. What with his tight mean little mouth and his mocking of Freddie, he tries to make out he is this canny wee innocent lad from the North East who wouldn't hurt a fly. He would. He is riddled with class jealousy and he hates anyone who will bring out his inbuilt inferiority complex. He veers towards his own type, ie dimwits with nil personality, he has not been blessed with much grey matter and, most of all, his sense of humour stinks. Awful boy.
