Ginchiest is often seen on the catwalk....
Ginchiest is all around us....
It doesn't feel like it to me.

Ginchiest =
Whole word = Vain
Chi = Ch'i or qi (æ°Ģ), "life-force" in Chinese culture
Chest = In Medical Journal
Gin = Renders me staggering and speechless
Ginch =
Ginch

oh! wow! (never had the clap on here, even though i've been called the quim )
Clue says "....is often vain...." so I don't think the word has to mean vain at all.
ok im back i managed to get some more clues and its left me even more confused3
the word can leave you staggered, it can leave you speechless, and has multiple uses ?????????????????????
some of the guesses this morning chamelion , undernourished (they said that was a good thought guess)
Ug!
I'm awake now, and just read all of the thread, i didn't realise that Teddyboy had already been done.. oops.

So how will we know what the correct word is?
If undernourished is a good guess the .............I'm not getting it at all! How does that fit the clues
idiotic ?
id - could be vain
idiot - could wear skinny jeans
dio (r) found on cat walk
dio italian for God (all around)
tic (could leave you speechless or staggering)
Hippest
Vain
SkinnyJeans
Found on catwalk
Speechless
If undernourished is a good guess the .............I'm not getting it at all! How does that fit the clues
Undernourished man wers skinny jeans
a lot of people you see on the catwalk are undernourished
Undernourished people are all around us
Undernourishment can lead to dizzynes - leave you staggered
Not sure about the multiple uses - and it's more than 3 syllables - which is probably why it's not correct.
idiotic ?
id - could be vain
idiot - could wear skinny jeans
dio (r) found on cat walk
dio italian for God (all around)
tic (could leave you speechless or staggering)
But it has 4 syllables
Id - i - ot - ic
Hippest
Vain
SkinnyJeans
Found on catwalk
Speechless
Only 2 syllables though....and I don't think it has to mean vain.
Someone put us out of our misery.
Please.
I thought of 'audacious'. Something audacious can leave you speechless or be staggeringly good (or bad), some cat-walk gear could be described as audacious. But then it isn't - as far as I know - in the medical dictionary. As for 'all around us' then that doesn't hang together either, unless that clue refers to the last two letters of the word. Another thought - if the question setter is a fan of cryptic crosswords then the 'us' could appear in the middle of the word, like 'fussy' etc.
I really am giving up now, bugger it!
I'm completely fed up with this puzzle
i thought of :-
eccentric
or
avant-garde
or
sick - (my daughters use 'sick' for something really good)
these are as well as my earlier guess of bohemian
idiotic ?
id - could be vain
idiot - could wear skinny jeans
dio (r) found on cat walk
dio italian for God (all around)
tic (could leave you speechless or staggering)
Someone posted an additional clue Soozy that said it only had 3 syllables. I think it was Elaine up there somewhere who posted quite a few other clues.
I'm still none the wiser though.
Who has the answer?
I'm bored, and want another clue.
I'm completely fed up with this puzzle
me too suzy ... surely we must know the answer soon
I'l never ever get over it if we don't find out the answer -----------------------------it'll haunt me to my grave
I'm completely fed up with this puzzle
me too suzy ... surely we must know the answer soon
Rexi, I'm doing all I can to avoid this, but it's one of the few threads on here that is actually altering my state of mind in real life.
