Last night Vinnie Jones said: "I need competition now. It's too easy with this lot."

How bumptious he is! How pompous! What self-importance he must harbour!

The other day Jones said "That leaves me with 9 slices" - not "that leaves us..." (which he should have said) - but "that leaves me.."
Jeremy Kyle speaks in the same way.
Jeremy Kyle says "my show", "my stage", "my team", "my programme". (He is wrong of course; he is employed just like the rest of `em.)

Not only is Jones full of himself, he seems pretty humourless with it. No whole-hearted and genuine laughs or smiles; the lips remain small and tight most of the time, and he seems to hold negative views about so many things. Where is the warmth?

A very unpleasant man in my opinion.
But - as for his statement: "I need competition now. It's too easy with this lot," - I truly hope that his pride (and pomposity) come before his fall.

Well said, brisket.
The thing that really got me during last night's HLs was the way he reacted when others questioned whether Ivana should really have to do the modelling - barely concealed fury. His eyes started shooting red sparks at Stephanie when she said she wouldn't do it.

I'm sorry to interupt but the rest of the sentence was ... to wind up! or something similar. I am not a big big fan of vinnies but that is what he was saying that the rest of them are too easy to wind up and that he needs more competition in that way. That is my interpretation anyway

Thanks duchess ...in that case, it doesn't changed my opinion of him expressed in the opening post.
It also enables me to add how sad and unpleasant it is that he gets pleasure from winding people up, and is only happy if they react. It also underlines his absence of wit and humour.
