It just made me realise that Vinnie and his yes-men are a bunch of twats.

Yes I didn't like the way Vinne orchestrated the "lets all gang up on Katia gig" Shame on Jonas fo lying there smirking. I thought Sov was kinda cold, she could have given the wee lass a hug.

I know!!! .... I was almost shouting at the TV  "FGS!!! just give her a hug"

She did get up and give her a hug........albeit briefly.........maybe Sov doesn't feel comfortable showing her softer side to camera

Sov seems to be very hands-off.  She did seems to be concerned for Katia though, and tried to cheer her up with the beans joke.

Katia seems quite fragile when teased or criticised and has only looked comfortable around Jonas and Sov. There seems to be a certain amount of status snobbery coming from within this group, and to that extent she is viewed as an outsider. I mean, they seem to take a lot of smug satisfaction whenever the opportunity arises to mention her claim to fame.

Totally agree Cold Sweat, I mean Alex should not even think about having a pop at Katia.

Apart from this evening, I haven't heard it mentioned whenever the opportunity arises

Dane used it against her in the DR just a couple of nights ago - a sly comment about how she should be getting on with the older housemates.

Alex is so focused upon being a member of Team Vinnie that he seems to miss the irony of his own celebrity status, in relation to that of Katia.

I stand corrected, however that is  "hardly being used at evey opportunity" now is it.

I dont feel sorry for her at all... dated a bloke more than 40 years older than her.... split with him quite recently.... sold her story.... is SUPPOSEDLY with another man.... gets into BB house..... kops off with a minor celeb....

Could someone confirm a couple of points for me... firstly, is it true that Ronnie got into trouble for giving Katia a beating in public - but she refused to give evidence, and also, the guy cited as her current b/f - is it true that she has known him since before meeting Ronnie?

But it is the most recent example that i can think of... and it was only a couple of days ago. BTW I really don't want Dane Bowers to win! lol

Can't clarify either points totally, have read that she was in an altercation with Ronnie and he pulled her hair and slapped her. Unacceptable. Read she is seeing a young guy for a couple of months and is apparently happy with him. Bottom line is I still cannot bear the girl and you obviously like her. But its all cool, nice that we can come on a forum and express our opinions.

According to the people who helped her, he was dragging her along the ground by her hair, tried to throttle her and threatened to stub his cigarette in her face. She refused to press charges and he accepted a Police caution. This was the reason she left him.

It seems to make sense that she has strong feelings for this guy if she has known him for ages - and moving in with him before xmas was maybe a handy escape from Ronnie.


Compared to the other celebs there is very little known about Katia and she doesn't seem to have given much away in the house. I read on another forum that her mother raised her alone in poverty and that Katia is quite a talented artist. Also it seems that she didn't know who Ronnie was when he first chatted her up.

Cold Sweat, he asked if he could paint her and said he would pay her to be his "muse". Took her to Ireland and the affair started there. I am no fan of Katia, in fact I am a great Rolling Stones fan, but I think the biggest shit in this affair is Ronnie - he left Jo for Katia in his pissed up stupor, there is no way she "stole" him from Jo.

It used to happen to me, and I hated it.   Loved them to bits one minute, then I would wake up one day and suddenly everything they said and everything they did would irritate me.

I hated this happening, but once it had there was nothing I could do about it.

It would appear my daughter is the same.   She says its annoying too, but once she's gone off them (it can happen in days.. not weeks)... there is nothing she can do about it.

ah Puss...   it was horrible when it happened tbh!    But I grew out of it...  hoping daughter will too... am kinda relieved that she is still at the texting & msn'ing stage when it happens to her!  *huge hypocritical maternal grin*... hey, I'm her mum - I just can't manage to hate her going off them.

I dunno if this is what's happened with Katia... I just wanted to make the point that its not always a conscious decision, but is just something that happens.

I don’t think we always assess the complexities regarding what the housemates do or how they feel – looking at people in terms of being “good” or “bad” is too simplistic. i'm not liking katia much, her voice annoys me, but the ganging up on her and public humiliation was out of order and plain nasty.

OK - i did NOT like the boys treatment of Kat-tat-ia it was nasty, plain and simple

Wen Kat-tat-ia dumped AssHunter she went to the other girls to laff about him eventhough he looked genuinely upset 
But wen othrs behave in a similar way (i know it was more directed "at" her so more confrontational) she feels justified in crying!!

I still don`t understand how she can be called a "celebrity", but that was pretty nasty I think. and I did feel sorry for her.

I detested the smirk on Alexs` face when he was going on at her, (talk about the kettle calling the pot black!) and Jonas didn`t come out of it looking good either. But at least he did go up to her later and apologise, which I guess was better than nothing.

I`m pleased  that Vinnie told Alex he thought was too harsh though!

She laughed wen she saw AssHunter all upset - and got others to laff at him too
For that behaviour i have nothing but contempt for her
