Why am I not surprised that you come steaming in to defend him Scotty? Besides, I thought he was apologising for summat he said to Blizz from reading what he has said in this thread. The prostitute comment was aimed at another fm

Can't be bothered to argue about this tbh, but you wouldn't be defending anyone else making that comment would you?

FM

"steaming in?"

I`m merely replying to your post and giving my point of view.

Yes, he was apologising to Blizz.

You were the one who raised the prostitute comment which had nothing to do with this thread.

And yes, I would defend anyone making a comment that they regretted, (I`ve done it in the past, many times) especially when they make the wise decision to delete it or they apologise.

velvet has done both.

I`m not arguing either Veggie.

Scotty

Not sure what to say, tbh. Maybe a pm would have been better?

Anyway, I get that you don't agree with my political views, my choice of HMs to support, my use of ninjas. I get that the truth comes out, when you've had a few too many. I won't be changing my views, or smiley useage, and I'll support who I want to.

I've stood up for you, in the past, thinking that people were over-reacting to your random silliness. I now realise that it's a lot more obvious, when they are aimed at oneself, so that's one regret for me.

Thank you for apologising, but Olly has given the best advice on here.

plus there'd be less spam of a morning to bypass to find a proper thread to read

I was one of the worst for posting when drunk but there comes a time when you have to realise this is not just once a week but every night. If that was a real life mate you'd say they needed help and you'd be right.

Having been on the receiving end of VD's vitriol a few weeks ago, I feel the same, but I didn't even get an apology!  When someone continually insults people and slags them off and then keeps back-skipping and saying 'sorry' like a naughty child, and then keeps doing it, I have no time for them.  We are all entitled to speak out of turn here, but VD keeps doing it.  I could imagine the reaction - from some - if it was me!  I don't know why VD keeps doing this, but it's out of order IMO.

For such a small forum the community spirit on here is sadly lacking.

Edited: I really can't be bothered to argue about this.  I made my point and stand by what I said.  End of.

I have no beef with you Scotty, but like a few other who have posted here, I think there is only so much people can tolerate.  Like I said, I can imagine the furore if it were me who posted in this manner.

I find it best to regard Velvet Underground as a forum character. Sticks n stones and all that! One of the reasons I haven't become embroiled in the recent DS and other relevant threads is because the individual concerned was just plain evil. Years of abuse and Wednesday breakdowns led to me just ignoring the queynte, if I may say so. Velvet is a pussycat in comparison (I hope)

I understand your loyalty Scotty but I've seen him turn on you too. How many times does it have to happen before you tell your friend that he drinks too much? If you have in private then great but he's still making cryptic threads with undertones, turning on people who have stuck up for him (including you) and STILL thinks it's ok as long as he apologies the next day....and the next day....and the next day.

I'm no angel. I used to drink too much and took it out on people here when I had a bad day but that wasn't every day. Humour is fine but there's nothing funny about what he posts. All I see is someone drinking themselves silly every night, making an arse of himself, apologising the next day and nobody wanting to upset him by telling him he's drinking too much.

Cruel to be kind and the kindest thing is to stop humouring him

Yep erin, was about to say that

*edited to say* .. like Scotty says, it all feels a bit gossipy - I realise that's not the intent, but maybe PMs are the way to go if people have issues they want to address.
