This reminds me of when my OH's older brother was first moving in with his girlfriend. He had given my OH a box of naughty mags to dispose of and the OH put them in the boot of the car. We were going on holiday shortly after and went to put the bags in the boot when we saw the box and he rushed them out of the way before the kids saw them. Now, I have no idea why he didn't put them straight in the bin, maybe it was full, maybe he just wanted a sneaky look at them some other time, whatever the reason we forgot all about them over the next few weeks.
Then the workmen came to fit my new kitchen and it was all young fellas doing the work. Heard quite a kerfuffle in the kitchen and then the one who I've known years brings the mags in and asks do I want to keep them or dump them.
I was mortified and trying to explain how they got there just sounded like a lie. I didn't find it one bit funny AT ALL and took them with me to the brother in laws house next visit and gave them back to him. His girlfriend thought it was quite funny but he was fuming at me for returning them. I suppose it was my OH's fault really for putting them there in the first place but I think he got enough of a sore ear from me the day the workmen were here.
