Rats make great pets and can accept cuddles etc and interact with you, very intelligent animals.I've always thought of getting some.I've only ever had Syrian hamsters,my latest one "pi" was at the vet last week, possible urine infection, got meds for him. He's 1 year and 9 months old..geriatric in hamster years..

Friend of mine has 4. She already had two and adopted two rats from the school she works at.

I'd have to buy a huge cage for them etc.I'll see...,my niece and partner are staying with me just now and have their charcoal bengal cat with them.So I have a rota for time out in various rooms etc.I have my budgie Kiwi and Pi the hamster.
