There is no way she would allow anyone to visit unless she's at deaths door. And 111 are useless - I've used them loads at work and every time they say it's best to go to hospital which is not an option at the moment.
She getting bloods done by community nurse soon cos she's started some antibiotics so I'll ask them to check her BP too.

I hope she is feeling a bit better today Renton …..try not to worry too much …it probably is just a side effect of the jab ….but yes, mention it to the community nurse when she comes .
UPDATE - she's fine . . . .and relax (but it's a constant worry cos tomorrow it will be something else)
This morning said she felt really good - so I'm hoping it was antibiotics or jab (or bit of both)

The first one did hurted very much - second one was fine - that's 2 jec-shuns in 6 months when previously it has been none since I was 22yrs old 
when i gotta piece of glass in my hand - they asked me to lay down, then lay my hand on a lil table. And then ... and this is 100% true - the nurse pinned my shoulders down and said "This might hurt". The doctor pushed a needle through my hand - that hurt soooo much - when he finished getting the glass out my hand was dripping with blood.

I had my Moderna jab today. In the words of John Major, "It hurt - it worked"
I went to Gosforth, quite a nice area but there was a huge queue outside a tiny pharmacy and it was freezing so off to Balliol Business Park, rather grim, faceless office area with pretty hedging (why do they always have lovely hedges?)
Went into a non-descript place you're likely to have a 'business' interview. I asked the receptionist if they had a childcare specialist, she looked perplexed then asked if i was scared. She doesn't know me does she? After waiting thirty years i was called over to a mini cubicle. She asked me lots of questions then asked if wanted to ask anything, I said, "Just treat me like a 5yr old boy, ok" I could see her smirking
She said I just needed to relax and I said, "Tell me when you're going to do it - just tell me when, ok"
She said, "You want to know" ... BAM !!!! She shoved that little bugger in, mid sentence!! I jumped for England!!
"I see what you did there, mid sentence when i wasn't tense" . . . . and I remember her face too
Arm aching, reputation in tact (cos I was wearing a mask) I drove off into the Newcastle sunset.

But none of that happened with these jabs….thank heavens❤️❤️,pleased you managed to get your booster, you’ll feel much safer having had it….even if your arm aches a bit,it will keep you safer ❤️❤️❤️

Apparently they're not offering Astra Zenica jabs as boosters due to blood clot fears. Anyone else read that?

People who are under 40 or pregnant are being offered Pfizer or Moderna rather than Oxford-AstraZeneca, because of a possible connection with extremely rare cases of blood clots.
Under-18s are currently being offered Pfizer, although the Moderna vaccine has also been authorised for use in children.
Most boosters will be one dose of Pfizer or a half-dose of Moderna, regardless of which jab you initially received.
Blood clots first appeared in people who had contracted Covid and long before any of the vaccines had been made.
Personally I feel that the clots that some people have developed after the vaccine are people who would have developed clots if they had caught Covid and the immune reaction that the vaccine has stimulated has just triggered the clotting response, but that the clots are not a direct response to the vaccine.
If the vaccine was causing clots then I think more people would be getting them.

Mr Fluffy had his booster and flu jabs today = no grumbles so far!
Because he's only a few weeks home from hospital, a nurse came to the house to administer the jabs, but couldn't do me as well!

Glad Mr EFFT had his jab , but how stupid that she couldn’t do yours while she was there !
