What use is a weather forecast when half the UK's cooped up indoors trying to work out their on-line shopping for a fortnight ahead?

The virus is airborne. What part of that do you not get?

According to a doc at the hospital...the virus can only travel about two metres before it drops to the ground...I have no idea how far two metres is,I work in feet not metric. It's transmitted through people coming into contact and then putting their hands on their faces,it enters through mouth, noses, ears and eyes....so keep the distance ,wash your hands a lot and then keep them off your face.....that's what he told me

I heard some expert on the radio say it can stay in the air for two hours. Who knows - answer no one.

I have decided that if anyones doing this moronic shopping near me I will start coughing

They'd probably beat you up though

Why are we getting half an idea then 2/3 days later the full policy. It's simple people, if the virus isn't passed on it dies on the host or the surface it landed on within an amount of time , it's not rocket science. If you have to go out, wash your hands or use antibacterial wipes/gel.

Blundering wandering Willie Johnson is not and never was leadership material and neither is his eugenicist mate that is running the Country, Cunning Cummings.,,So much bloody time wasted, planes landing from all over, no checks, no security,,VPN's supplied to my daughters work last week, still her works laptop not available to work from home. The government is giving advice and not adhering to it itself

I've been in self isolation for 4 days, my youngest daughter who works for the civil service was advise by work to self isolate due to cough, temp, tight chest and being extremely tired all the time. I have no symptoms at all and we are not sharing any space, detol and antibacterial is sprayed constantly, bathroom, taps door handles and work surfaces cleaned down every time we use them. I think it's seasonal flu but because they won't test her it means 4 more days for her and 10 more for me indoors...price worth paying though. For the first time today I saw her in the living room from the hall, I thought I was being burgled  We made sure there was at least 9 feet between us

Take care everyone and I am listening to the World Health Organisation for the best advice and not the idiots in charge.

*all of the above is aimed at the government and not you lovely lot, forum members have more sense*

It's like a bloody zombie apocalypse in our supermarkets. Getting progressively emptier. Bloody govt and supermarkets don't have a handle on this - clearly. As soon as the toilet roll started to get snapped up, they should have introduced rationing!!!

It will be petrol next, you watch.

Someone needs to silence Trump, he's just poisoned several people in some African countries by saying that a Malaria drug (chloroquine) has been approved for use against Covid-19 - it hasn't, but because of him saying that, several people have now overdosed on said chloroquine!
