And now we've got someone in England potentially infecting the whole population because they didn't give full/proper details. Hope the authorities manage to track them down sooner rather than later, and give them a proportionately hefty jail sentence.
We have three choices: a good way, a bad way, or an indifferent way. The indifferent way would not be the best of choices, but tolerable. However this government seems to manage, every time, to pick the bad way!
And of course it's not just the people that were on the same flight(s) as them, but all the contacts that this wider group of people have had since. And thus it could spiral out of control again!

Someone at the airport didn’t do their job properly in the first place......and as this happened more than 2 weeks ago then if more people had been infected it would have shown up by now,5 of the six did quarantine at home,so the man on the loose may have done the same...
...we just don’t know and that is the problem

re the Mexican variant....Laura Klunesburg ? asked him why was the hotel quarantine not put in place earlier...as in when it was first announced...why did they wait another 2/3 weeks...........to which Matt replied, that we did already have self quarantine at home in place

I think the trouble is we have to believe someone ....cos none of us have enough scientific expertise to sort this out ourselves ....and he’s the best of the bunch

I don't mind him most of the time, but yesterday (or the latest time he was on) was just a bit too slow and ponderous and just seemed to reiterate a lot of what had been said in the previous few briefings, and nothing really new!

Velvet , he’s about the only one I do tend to listen to.....along with Chris Whitby (although he waffles a bit ) . Having said that , I don’t listen to every broadcast these days .....mainly because they tend to depress me ....so I save my anxiety and just watch major announcements .
