Yes Dame I didn’t even know there was a group 10
I think group 10 (as such) is just, for the moment, everyone else. I.E. Every one who doesn't fit into any of the previous groups.

Oh right...thanks EFFT

I asked our local GP and the "care co-ordinator" said I would not get my jab til later as I did not come into contact with a lot of people - just my Mum. Higher priority will be given to people like midwives she said. If i become ill with COVID there is no one to look after my Mum!! So she said I could ask if they have any spare and may "get lucky"

Fingers crossed Renton .

That's ridiculous! So it's OK if you infect your mum, 'cos she's just one person, but wouldn't be OK if there were three or more!!!

I think it's more like, my Mum is getting the jab so will be protected and i'm less likely to catch it than a front line worker

Totally agree EC ! They need to make the punishments much tougher !
An article talking about virus transmission......................
Added to that, it's the season when your nose runs in the cold, and a common reaction is to wipe it with your hand.
Really, who does that?

£800 fines to be introduced for party-goers breaking lockdown...............about time too!

Yes, but they are still only fining them for gatherings of over 15 ! Imo the fines need to be bigger and for any gathering of over say 4 !
Police had to break up a 400 person wedding party in London .....what the hell is wrong with these people .

They have now revised the number down to 150 ....well that’s ok then!
And only 5, appart from the organizers, have been fined!
Also there were reports of 'guests' fleeing the scene. Which means they knew they were breaking the law, but were too selfish to care about anybody or anything other than pleasing themselves.

The windows were covered so nobody could see in,so everyone in that hall knew what they were doing....and apart from that the headmaster of that school died of Covid in the first wave....you'd think that common sense would have told this lot how to behave properly

Exactly Kaytee ! And let’s face it , the school shouldn’t even be hiring out the hall in the current climate ! 😡🥰

Allegedly the school gave a contract to an external company to rent out the hall....pleading ignorance now🙄😤

Totally agree. IF, and it's a big if, they gave an outside contractor the leeway to hire out the hall, that contract should have been terminated as soon as possible after the pandemic struct - so they are culpable - and if the contract was given AFTER the pandemic struct they are even more culpable and should be jailed for KNOWINGLY endangering the lives of the whole population of the UK at the very least!

As has been demonstrated time and time again, a large percentage of the population has NO common sense!
Yet another party of a couple of hundred people had to be broken up , this time in Kensington ! The owner had apparently already had one fine !

Yep. that was to be my next comment. Fines aren't enough, they're just ENCOURAGING this behaviour as nothing much is being seen to be done to further enforce compliance. These people are breaking the law, but are, by and large, getting away with it. They complain about draconian rules going on and on, but don't have the sense to see that it is their behavlour that is helping to lengthen the time we are having to have these 'draconian' rules in the first place and why they have to be strengthened even further at times.

Spot on EFFT ....if people had all obeyed the rules in the first place ....instead of bleating about their *human rights* .....we might have been in a better place than we are now !
All these people who are attending illegal gathering or organizing them, if identified, should be locked up and bumped to the end of the vaccine queue, as they obviously don't care if they, or anyone they infect, get or die from CoVid-19.
