And I’m not sure sniffles is part of it .....so maybe it’s just a bad cold

Hoping it’s a cold, would love a long soak in a hot bubbly bath but only have a shower 😪

We're being warned we are on a brink of a new epidemic surge

The answer?

Pubs to close at 10pm

Risking deaths so some can socialise or get drunk

Couldn’t agree more Renton....I think all pubs should be closed....cos let’s face it , if people are desperate for a drink they can have one at home!

But then, part of what's happening in Scotland is cotrolled by Westminster. So who can tell how much better (or worse!) it might be if we had full control of everything.

But my understanding is  NHS Scotland totally devolved .....and lockdown etc is definitely under Scottish control .....

People in Cardiff, Swansea and Llanelli (where my family live) are on lockdown

They're not allowed to travel outside their area!!

No one allowed in each others homes either

Wow

YesI truly don’t  know why they don’t do a blanket lockdown for a few weeks .....cos half the country is in one anyway , and they are already talking about uni students may not being allowed home for xmas ! What the heck did they expect to happen....anyone with half a brain could see all this coming

Tesco and Morrison have introduced limits on how many you can buy at a time. This is to ensure that there are no shortages as seen in the panic buying early this year - thus ensuring said panic buying!

That’s what I thought too EFFT ....and I have to admit I’ve added a few things to my shopping deliveries

Me too. Just small things like two packs instead of one . Or maybe buying some things every week instead of only two or three times a month.

What a load of morons at that demonstration in London .....what is it they don’t understand about social distancing Don’t they realise that it’s silly people like them that are fuelling ....if not causing....all the stricter restrictions !

Baz

There's no way out of this. Morons in denial and morons running the show.

They are absolutely clueless - all of them. I wonder when the Govt. will admit defeat and it's another lockdown. Don't like the word - it's up there with binary and woke.

Well; some of them are just plain CovIdiots. However many of them have adgendas - and many of those are rather worrying...

Quick quiz:

The photo below was taken at a previous anti-lockdown demo at Trafalgar Square back in August. Whose flag is being displayed here?

they turned up at Dover the week after same guy

Nope: not the National Front, although you're on the *ahem* right lines...

That, folks, is the party flag of Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists.

Just let that sink in for a moment: people at a Trafalgar Square protest supposedly against the curtailing of person freedoms were brandishing a flag that Mosley's blackshirts waved while marching down Cable Street 84 years ago...

The former director-general of the charity Age Concern Baroness Greengross has said the elderly prefer death to spending Xmas alone.

'What do we do about elderly people who long to see their family at Christmas and it looks as if they'll not be able to? That's absolutely awful,' she told The Times.

'I think I would make an announcement just before Christmas that relaxed some of the rules, because most older people with families would prioritise seeing them, I think, over staying alive.'

This sort of sensational statement is not helpful - how does she know? Where is here evidence?

Saint

I agree Saint. How stupid is that? Christmas is just another day, as such. So she's saying that people would rather be dead and NEVER see their relatives again (and deprive themselves of, potentially. several more years of life), than have to spend an arbitrary day without seeing them!!!!!

I'm not going to pretend it's easy, going for months on end without seeing folks (I'm having to do it myself), but there are ways to lessen the upheaval this is causing us ALL. Does she think it's not affecting the rest of society?

Exactly Renton .....it certainly doesn’t apply to this old person !

Spot on EFFT No, it’s not easy , but in the grand scheme of things it’s just one day .....and there are always other ways of feeling involved ....even if it’s only a phone call
