You was right Bazzy. I just had a rummage through the BBC local website and yes we are going into lockdown on Tuesday

I don’t think the rest of the country will be far behind you Moonie

I pretty sure that the app along with contact tracing WILL NOT WORK AS EXPECTED.

Imagine if you worked for an organisation which issued an email explaining all of the information you can give to contact tracers, except one crucial element, you are specifically told not to tell contact tracers who you are working with.

But what about all the people that attended it, they were breaking the rules too?

They have written a letter of apology to the neighbours and citing an error of judgement.

One neighbour  -  one neighbour told the BBC the £10,000 fine was "absolutely ridiculous... fine the guys, but we were all students once".

So they're suggesting the amount of the fine should be tailored to the financial status of the offender, rather than the offence!

Airight, one may reckon that the fine amount is to much IN GENERAL, but it shouldn't matter WHO the offender is.

Currently listening to the news - some people just don't care about the health state of the nation!

I'm just disappointed the British public seem to be reluctant to co-operate and are thinking of their own needs before anything else

Exactly ! I bet they will be the first ones to moan when the country goes back into total lockdown

A little something that might be of interest...

I recently received a letter from Ipsos Mori asking me to take part in a COVID-19 in-home antibody testing research study.

The home-test kit arrived Monday, and I took the test Wednesday. Disappointingly - though perhaps unsurprisingly - I tested negative for antibodies. After taking the test, I had to fill in a long questionaire covering subjects such as my behaviour during lockdown.

[Proviso: The literature that came with the test repeatedly points out that the test is not reliable at an individual level. The purpose of the study is to estimate how many people have been infected with COVID-19.]

PM: Public should speak to Covid rule-breakers before calling the police

Can you imagine?  These rule breakers are not listening to the government ( who would?) , scientists or the law, why should they listen to Joe Bloggs?

Apart from what you have posted, would anyone in their right mind want to confront people who are breaking the law? Not me ...

I've read many times that this virus (man made in a laboratory and deliberately released to destroy capitalism) is highly contagious.

So why aren't people wearing masks in the high street? This will be the next advice  - mark my words

The UK government is considering taking further England-wide measures including a short period of restrictions across the country to try to slow a second surge of coronavirus cases.

BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg has been told that a few weeks of national rules - or a "circuit break" - could be announced in the next week.

Schools and workplaces would be kept open during those weeks.

But no final decisions have yet been reached on the next course of action.

I'm sure a lot of people were saying the 'opening up' was too soon and too quick!
