I can understand! I still haven't been further than the back garden since late January!

I've listened and watched and it's struck the fear of God into me

The only saving grace is that even the plague had it's day and faded into history

The UK is idiotic by nature. They all know better. Talk about accidents of birth, it would make you cry.

Now our corona numbers are being filtered through the White House, they are total garbage. The bell curve makes no sense given we have few restrictions. Vastly reduced testing. I guess that orange idiot has found a way make the virus disappear like magic after all, using his go to strategy. Lie...

Well you make sure you stay safe Roxan

'No clear-cut solution to travel during pandemic' - Shapps says.

Well I say there is - Don't travel!!!

Reading about all these people in France moaning about having to return early and about how it's ruining their holiday. I can't really sympathise.  They new beforehand that this sort of situation could arise at any moment, yet they still went, even those whose work commitments meant they couldn't afford to be in a situation where they would need to quarantine - and now they expect us to share in their 'anger' at all the disruption this is causing THEM!    NOT A CHANCE!!!!!!!

I realize that not ALL travelers are moaning and will have taken this possibility into account. The fairly sensible ones (who appear to be few and far between) are not likely to be commenting in the first place!

Hoseasons cancelling people's holidays at the last moment?????

I appreciate that this is very frustrating for those whose holiday is cancelled, but to complain that they weren't given more notice???

NO matter how good or bad you think a company is, if they say a problem has just occurred that is going to take a while to fix and is rendering your accommodation unsafe. Then surely it is better to be informed of that as soon as possible, rather than be allowed to travel to said accommodation just to be told you'll have to go home again? Especially if you've got childen/pets/disabled people!

Agree EFFT  -  We are living through a modern day tragedy and people want to go on holiday - in an aeroplane?

Can anyone tell me why people who arrived from abroad before 4am this morning don’t have to self-isolate but those who arrived after 4am do?

I do understand this was a restriction brought in by the government but surely you have as much chance of having it either side of that 4am deadline...

Exactly Moonie . There are apparently 4/5 confirmed cases in my area ....so I’m not going to be venturing my local shop any time soon !

We'd see the same scenario (mad scramble) no matter what the cut off time was.

If there was a period where there was no traffic, then you could set the deadline to the  middle or end of that period, to avoid the 'one second before and one second after' situation, but that ain't gonna happen!

I think they should ban all foreign travel ....except in exceptional circumstances .....not much point in local lockdowns if they are letting people travel about  the world  willy nilly !

I told her no chatting and I must be first in so the virus has had time to get out of the shop from the day before.

I've got a mask (with micro-mesh thingy lining) and i'll be shallow breathing
