I don't think it's that, though....I think it's because on C$ we were treated like children, and so behaved that way.

There's lots of good things here compared to
the old forum. Less mod interference when it wasn't necessary (left us all mystified). We can chat all night long if we want to and don't have to make up 'shorthand' words to refer to other sites.
However.....the most important thing for me is
that I can still clock in each day (well almost)
and see how everyone's doing.

I love this forum, I love that we get to use all the functions, that there are loads of boards, 24 hr opening, and I love the people that run it too!
C4 was stifling at times... and frustrating, and midnight closing made it even worse.

I love this forum for all the reasons mentioned above but most of all I love that the majority of CH4 FMS are here

I love this forum too. I love being treated like an adult and not as some unruly teenager.
I don't mind the ads, Eve have to get their revenue from something, and if that's the cost of being here, then fine. I've even checked a few out so far. Hello Tootall, it has calmed now thank goodness. You get to know who the trouble makers are/were and once you know their style, you just post around them and they go away. Mind you I bet the mods on here wondered what the hell was going on initially, poor guys. It's so good to see familiar names

Hi The secretary, I have never used it myself and not felt the need to yet. The only situation I could see me using it if a Fm was upset, in tears or despair and i was concerned about them and wanted to try and offer my help or let them no someone cares, a little bit more privately. I know in the past the BB forum was a great support for people who were distraught reaching out for help at all times, day and night. They usually got the help from concerned Fm's too. Also why I'm glad this place is open through out the night. Also for the shift workers and the insomniacs out there.

Thanks Mousie, i was really against it closing through the night, there was a whole new community used it with just as relevent views and opinions which i'd read in the mornings. Also like i say people wanting through the night company
I know Toots, and I felt the same about the midnight closure. Often people were feeling low at that time and needed help or someone to listen to them. This place is good as long as peeps dont take advantage of the place, and spoil things with fights etc and grudges brought over from BB.

Compared to CH4 there's no contest. This offers the facilities that most good Forums offer and the Moderation is appropriate.
There are attention seekers and dramaholics at times but it's a choice whether to engage with them or not
The forum is OK and the mods are good but it's a bit too 'cliquey' for me so I don't post that often

I've only used PM twice, once to thank someone for guiding in the direction of a thing i needded to make my video, when i was worried that my thanks would fall off the page without the person seeing it and once to ask Lori something about the rules so i didn't fall foul of them
otherwise i wouldn't use it ...

I completely agree with you. It's impossible to compare this forum to C4 forums. It's way better here and so easy to ignore those you wish to ignore.
I love it here. Thank God C4 DID close their forums - this is so much better!
