I love the smell of babies and all their wee clothes. I want one.

I love the smell of babies. My kids still use Johnstons baby bath and I can't help sniffing them every time they get out of the bath
I love it too, I sit here sniffing Marni every night before bed time lol

Ah lucky you.
I remember when my firstborn was due and I washed his nappies for the first time. They had to be hung out to dry by the selvage edge then they were all folded exactly the same way.
When he was born and we brought him home we had a thermometer in his bedroom and if the temperature dropped ever so slightly the fan heater would be switched on (he was a July baby )
We kept a chart like they had in hospital so we could note down the amount of milk he drank and what came out the other end!!!
He was so wrapped up in cotton wool that everybody had to wash their hands before they picked him up. I swear I would have given them masks to wear if I had any.
Oh happy days, make the most of them xxx

I dunno why but it does smell different. I suppose because it's the same stuff that everyone uses to wash babies things. It doesn't smell like my clean washing ususally smells.

Nah, no twinges yet. Fingers crossed it won't be too long though. How are you doing?

No. Just started to wash some of the things we've been given, spare Moses basket covers, bibs, muslin squares, towels and stuff. They've all just come out of the dryer and they're all warm and fluffy and smell like babies.

Fetches memories back.
When you start cleaning and getting everything ready, you are nearly ready for having the baby.
Good Luck.

How you doing hun? How's the sickness going?
Ohh! I remember the baby smell from my kids, but when my Granddaughter arrived, I remember being so proud when teeny tiny vests, babygro's,mits and bootees ect. where hanging on the line. Happy days..
How many forum babies have been born or are waiting to be born during this BB at the mo? Just curious.. to all new borns.
I know this may be a stupid question, but should you wash new stuff aswell? (i.e. before they wear it).
Are you supposed to use a different washing powder for babies things??

It's not a daft question, I'm not sure myself. Some people say yes and some say no. That doesn't really help though does it?

lol, thanks!! I've had exactly the same - some say yes and some say no - I actually have a lot of other stupid questions which I will ask as time goes on

You have to use non bio powder. Bio is too harsh on a baby's sensitive skin.

meant to use a non bio softly softly one lol. i use it for all me washing though, so we all smell like babies

I did just because I wanted my babies to become used with home smells, and some new stuff felt a bit rough..but that was a long time ago.

I was starving for the first couple of months. Then I went off food for a bit but in the last week I can't get enough to eat. I'm trying to stop myself otherwise this baby os going to be a total bloater!
Have you gone public yet?

aye everyone knows now i told my SIL and she was blurting to tell my brother. so i let her. then cos he can't keep his gob shut i decided to text my other bro and dad to let them know before he told them lol. and my OH told his dad on the phone...then asked him advice about the snip ..then my dad told my aunt who told my cousins who told everyone else
i always lose weight and go all 'i cant eat' in early stages (or at least...when i find out lol). then by 20 weeks i eat like a horse and wont stop. i've only ever put a stone on though during a pregnancy (all babyweight basically). but once baby comes out i tend to be back to square one
i need to be constantly pregnant i think....hmm....a mate did ask me to be a surrogate a few months ago
