Yes it is. I'm a sad fecker .........i look forward to it every seven years! I'm one year younger than them and probably started watching age 13/14 ................I really identify with the three little girls with ribbons in their hair (age 7) I love it! I have a book from one of the series 35up. Where the hell do the tears go?

I loved the little fella who was a jockey for a short time - and the girls too.  But that poor fella who ended up homeless roaming the streets was really heart tugging.

Now, if I don't get to bed soon I'll be looking 86..!  Night

I loved them all ...........my fave was Bruce - little blonde lad with big ears - his parents were missionaries and he was away at boarding school with the bullies. I just loved him.

Some of the lids were poor (financially) but still happy ...........poor little Bruce it was like he had nobody in his life and it really effected his growing up and relationships with people.

Anyway night night Cosi!. It'll be nice to have a fellow fan when it airs!

I am not 56 yet myself. So was under 7 when 7up was aired. I vaguely remember it being ON, but not really anything much about the content. I think it was when 21 or 28 UP came on that I became aware that it was following these people every 7 years. If I'd known (and probably been older at the start) I would have been interested, but I found I couldn't really drum up any enthusiasm for it. I think it was probably because of having 'missed' a big chunk of their early lives.

They always do a fairly comprehensive re cap though (although not long enough - there should be two or three programmes before to bring everyone up to speed). IMO.
