well Westgate actually but it's close enough...big family party got the father in law and we stayed so hubby could have a drink (AND DID HE!?)

Nothing really, its been a dead quiet day here. 
some 'newbie' came in tis morning and slagged a few off... 
I will put some photos up later elsewhere...we had a good time though and I went swimming a couple of times....which nearly made up for having to watch the emotional mess the other half turns into when he's pissed!

Awww, I used to go to Dreamland every year when I was a kid *sigh*. Then a weekend jolly when I was older: The Bali Hai on the seafront witnessed much of my dodgy behaviour.

Thankfully I never actually went as far as Margate...can't stand the place...(but I did used to like the looping Star in dreamland)but I did walk the dog to Westbrook this morning then back round the beach to Westgate, through the rock pools.

We used to stay in Cliftonville in some of those grotty B&B's right near the crazy golf - it suited a bunch of teenagers, I suppose.
I can imagine that Cliftonville was dead posh once...probably about 1890!

My family used to go to the B&B's in the 60's and l can remember having a great time. Apart from the large dog in the basement who used to bark at my brother, to be fair, who knew that the dog had foresight.

or we booked a self catering flat for shed loads of us. .the were cheaper in Cliftonville... always hated the walk back from the Bali Hai of a night. . was a bit of a stumble along the coast road..

Never went to Dreamland when it changed to Bembon, but have happy memories of the double big wheel....and getting stuck right at the top for half an hour.
