I'm a teeny bit addicted to coleslaw.

I ate a sandwich this week that had home made coleslaw and brie as its filling.  It had been incubated in a bag all day in blazing hot sunshine causing some kind of sub-atomic reaction, I think.  In addition it was squeezed into said bag with a croissant which had sort of fused with it.

It was interesting.

What do you put in your home made coleslaw Lee? I make a vegan version using vegan mayo with grated white cabbage, carrots and onions
I use the  cabbage carrots and onions but for the dressing I use mayo soured cream white vinegar and some dijon mustard....Mr L and my son would insist they hate mustard but oddly enough they've never noticed it in the coleslaw.

I love mayo and salad cream but I agree with Cologne, I find coleslaw needs a little kick of something, a bit of salad cream or a teaspoon of mustard

Getting close to remoulade when you whack mustard in.  Celeriac remoulade is the nuts.

Quick versh - peel and grate a celeriac.  Toss in lemon juice.  Mix with some mayo and a decent whack of grain mustard.  Salt and black pepper.  Done.

Nice variation and if you like coleslaw you'll love it.
