OHG has provided you with the context of the joke and other fm's have pointed out that Sophie laughed at it, why then do you insist in making an overblown issue of it AND contradict your own advice, quoted above?

I was replying to OHG so why are you making an overblown issue out of it?

All threads meander about and it is actually relevant to contrast and compare Sophie's remark. I agree with JacksonB, it was more unpleasant, at least Marcus' harps back to an incident where Freddie lied and swore on Sophie's dogs' life.

If you take the comment in the context that it was said and the reasons behind saying it, then it is a bloody hilarious comment on marcus's behalf, i wish i was as quick witted.

would you have felt the same urgency to post such a reply, if i had said otherwise, your reply suggests it would, so am i to assume only posts that point out the nastiness of marcus's comment are permitted?

All i am seeing is Marcus supporters unwilling to evaluate a comment on it's own merit. That's fine - it isn't for me to say you cannot deflect your answer elsewhere - rather than tackling the incident.

I think we will have to disagree on this one as i don't find it funny.

Where as on Friday night, Sophie said to Roddie that she only had 2 friends in Nantwich - Marcus walking past remarked: 'That's cos you're a spiteful witch Sophie' - now that came across as funny. Big Grin

BLOODY HELL, is this STILL going,?
I answered the question about 5 pages ago, but I will repeat it again for the hard of thinking/reading,
Marcus was making the rather poor "joke" about Sophies dog....because, MUCH earlier in the show Freddie swore on Sophies dogs life, Sophie being a bit simmple, was shocked and kept going on n on "he swore on my dogs life" over and over,
and THAT "IMO" is why Marcus made the "joke"

Sophie wasnt offended by it, so WHY all these "bashers" feel the need to be offended FOR her I dont know....well actualy I do, its because its Marcus,
some of the "Bashers" say that because we are Marcus fans "we are bound to say that" or we are "bound to not agree" that it was the CRIME of the century,
quite possibly, BUT as a Marcus fan let me make it clear, I DO NOT think he is a saint, or that he walks on water, and that EVERYTHING he does or says is right or funny,
UNLIKE, most of the "bashers" who, by contrast, think that he BLINKS in an evil way, and they must go over EVERYTHING he does or says waiting like vultures of hate and spite to start YET ANOTHER OUTRAGE AT MARCUS THREAD,
Shake Head Shake Head

Well I never saw or heard it OHG, but now you have explained it, that Marcus was saying it jokingly because Freddie swore on Sophie's dog's life, and he said about the 'video of your dog's grave,' then I get it now, and don't find it particularly offensive. FTR, I like Marcus, although he swears a lot and is a bit of an arse now and again Laugh He and Siavash and Rodders are my faves now. Smiler

TBH I thought Sophie's dog had died or something, so that would've been wrong of him to say it then. Thanks for explaining.
