I love Christmas, but I have never been a fan of some of the "festive food" I'm not keen on Christmas pudding, though I do like brandy butter!! I've never been a huge fan of mince pies, or christmas cake

I don't really "get" Christmas pudding if I am honest, I dont think it has a place at any Christmas table
I used to make a mean Xmas pud - with sixpences and everything
Chistmas Pud and brandy cream. Oh yes
love it
christmas pudding, christmas cake, mince pies... all bleurgh
tbh by the time we are all stuffed on xmas dinner, and then supper (cold cuts with pickles & stuff), and CHEEEEESES & crackers.. the only sweet stuff we ever eat are the contents of our selection boxes or something out of the tin of Cadburys Heroes
I like it.
I tolerate a small amount of Crimble pudding but usually on St Stephen's day - can't face it on Christmas day
Depends if it's got nuts in
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Christmas pudding and brandy sauce, probably my favourite part of Christmas dinner. Now, Panettone, think that's v overrated
Actually, like I say, if the pudding hasn't got nuts in I like it with brandy cream
Ice cream.

I don't like ANYTHING with nuts in generally. However over the past few years I have been able to buy a pudding from Tesco that has no nuts, no sherry and no other bits in that I don't like 'Traditional' Christmas Pudding. I don't like Brandy Butter either.
Having said all that, we generally have dairy cream gateau or apple pie and cream/ice cream rather than a heavy pudding.
My mum or dad used to make a mean clootie dumpling at Christmas....and we'd have slices fried on Boxing Day.
I don't like Christmas pudding.. i'll have trifle on the day.
Love clootie dumpling though Fluffs!
My sister makes a mean Christmas pudding
My mum makes a mean trifle
I like them both
I don't like Christmas pudding.. i'll have trifle on the day.

Mr Fluffy Thing has a Strawberry Triffle quite often, but I don't like trifle either,
I'd have had to consider sending you to coventry if you had said you didn't like Clootie Dumpling, Kaffy.

One of my favourite memories is visiting my greatgran at the weekend and she'd always have a clootie dumpling sitting on a plate in front of the fire drying out. Mmmmm.. thick dumpling skin...

Ah, that seems like the onion pudding mam used to make (obviously this one with fruit though)
Puts me in mind of Maw Broon
I love Christmas pud. I don't like butter in my brandy though...
I hate xmas pud, mince pies and have never tasted brandy butter so can't comment on that.
Banoffee pie on xmas day and I might even do a trifle aswell.

Christmas isn't Christmas without Christmas pudding IMO. I'm not a huge Christmas pudding fan but I always have a taste because it's traditional! Last year I was very excited about the Heston Blumenthal pud ........................it was OKayish! I offer a wide range of desserts after Christmas dinner but ...................Christmas Pud on the menu!
If the only Christmas pud people have tasted is a dry, crumbly slab served up on a plate in a pub doing its Christma menu then no wonder they don't like it - it's awful. But a proper, home made pud which is fruity and moist (ooh er) is gorgeous. Mr Moomin hated Christmas pudding when I met him, now, having tasted mine, he's a convert.
Not a fan of christmas cake, christmas pudding and mince pies.
I prefer a trifle as dessert on Christmas Day.
Hate it and mince pies, i normally serve chocolate sponge and custard
We've decided to go for tarte tatin this Xmas.
No dont like it or mince pies

Nice , I love a tarte tatin.
Not sure what we will be having, given the other half hasn't been well, we have kind of fallen a bit behind in our Christmas preparation

Nigella has a recipe for a steamed chocolate pudding with chocolate sauce in the middle which looks lush

OMG .............there's still loads of time - re food - I've ordered my Turkey and that's it ................it's only a big roast dinner - one good shop will suffice!
Obviously if you have guests staying over it's a bit more taxing but it can be done in one big shop ...............I'm doing mine on the Friday! I will be putting an order in at M&S to pick up but will do a huuuuuuuuuuuge shop at Morrisons on the Friday night.

I picked up a couple of books the other week, one was the masterchef book, and the other one was a Gordon Ramsay one, both of them have amazing looking puddings in, but it is deciding which one to cook first!!! I will look up the Nigella one, Ta !
