I once bought a sheet of wrapping paper from my local newsagent. When I got home, I discovered I had accidentally picked up two sheets, so I went back and paid for the second sheet. They thought I was nuts.

I was once putting my shopping in the car at Sainsbury's when I found a birthday card still in the trolley that I'd (honestly!) forgotten to put up on the check out.        Then I remembered it was £2.95... and thought 'who's the thief here....'

Why would you BRING stuff to a supermarket? Most people go to a supermarket to BUY things.

I had the self service checkout in Asda shouting at me last week cos I had accidentally picked up two packs of gift wrap...    they were those packs with 2 sheets of paper & a gift tag in, they weigh nothing...    but the "bagging area" was on it!

OMG  I bought a mascara at Morrisons this week - put all the stuff on the conveyor belt - paid and bagged it all up. When I was loading the stuff into the car - the mascara was in the bottom of the trolley

I have my shopping delivered by Sainsburys.  4 weeks ago I had an email to say that my refund for 2 large packs of bacon and 2 of chicken fillets was on the way, totalling over £15.  Well I had had those goods, I didn't decline them so I emailed them back to say no I had had the goods and it would be wrong to accept a refund.  They emailed me a couple of days later saying I could have the refund as a gesture of goodwill, it pays to be honest

I once took mr summer to a posh hotel and they accidentally charged me for 1 night instead of the 2 that we stayed! I said nothing and got straight in the car! they make an absolute fortune there anyway

 

I did feel guilty for eating wedding cake at a wedding reception that I crashed once, in the morning I put money into the charity collection at the hotel, it was the right thing to do

For the same reason that someone else might use underlining or italics or a different colour or a combination of some or all of those (which, incidentally, I used further up). However, the method of illustration was not the point of my post.

i have a strong guilt complex so would have to return the goods or money to pay for them, i sometimes go the dogs (insert own joke) and the next day i always donate to the retired  greyhound trust

I got overpaid last week Ditty, by £40, I did come clean because my boss may have been testing me.. I hoped to hear a "keep it, thanks for your hard work" but it didn't happen I paid it back. Hope I get a good xmas bonus then!

Slightly unrelated but...... the school I work at is having financial difficulties (along with most schools at the moment due to some dodgy funding policies)...... so I haven't been claiming milage for school trips and visits lately. Stupidly trying to help in my own little way.

 

Today I got an email to say if I didn't claim it screws up the accounting records and the school would be obliged to refund pupils the money they have paid for some of the trips. So I had to put in a claim just to shut 'em up

Tis probably just as well. One of the sixth form lads at school proudly told me today that it only took him 65 hours to finish it.   That's gonna be my whole Christmas holiday gone! Get ready to be ABANDONED! Although I shall be back to whip your ass on Mario Kart
