The other week I went to my local supermarket and brought some loose prawns. When I got to the checkout the lady asked how many I had put in the bag. I said six but only held up five fingers. So by mistake I ended up only paying for five. It was only 15 pence so I accepted it as a one off bargain.
However the other day in the same shop I picked up a snack and unknowingly had two of them stuck together but only paid for one. This time I had stolen 50 pence.
The first time I did not feel any guilt but the second time I feel I am somehow responsible. Am I legally responsible if I unknowingly pay less and does that mean I should return to the shop and pay them 75 pence.
A few years back I was given two copies of a computer game so I actually did take it back to the shop. Though if computer games where edible I might have not bothered.

I had the self service checkout in Asda shouting at me last week cos I had accidentally picked up two packs of gift wrap...    they were those packs with 2 sheets of paper & a gift tag in, they weigh nothing...    but the "bagging area" was on it!

"EXTRA WEIGHT DETECTED IN THE BAGGING AREA.... EXTRA WEIGHT DETECTED IN THE BAGGING AREA"   green light flashing!

I was half expecting it to slap the handcuffs on me there & then

I have my shopping delivered by Sainsburys.  4 weeks ago I had an email to say that my refund for 2 large packs of bacon and 2 of chicken fillets was on the way, totalling over ÂĢ15.  Well I had had those goods, I didn't decline them so I emailed them back to say no I had had the goods and it would be wrong to accept a refund.  They emailed me a couple of days later saying I could have the refund as a gesture of goodwill, it pays to be honest

Why would you BRING stuff to a supermarket? Most people go to a supermarket to BUY things.

Why would you use capital letters to illistrate something?

For the same reason that someone else might use underlining or italics or a different colour or a combination of some or all of those (which, incidentally, I used further up). However, the method of illustration was not the point of my post.

Talking of typos, did you mean to type pikeys whilst using it to describe someone in a derogatory manner before you deleted the thread cupcake ?

Slightly unrelated but...... the school I work at is having financial difficulties (along with most schools at the moment due to some dodgy funding policies)...... so I haven't been claiming milage for school trips and visits lately. Stupidly trying to help in my own little way.

Today I got an email to say if I didn't claim it screws up the accounting records and the school would be obliged to refund pupils the money they have paid for some of the trips. So I had to put in a claim just to shut 'em up

firstly..   awwwwwww

secondly  woooohoooo...   you can treat yourself to the new Zelda game on the 3DS (& the 3DS) now too!

I don't have a 3DS. Zelda for the Wii will have to do.

Tis probably just as well. One of the sixth form lads at school proudly told me today that it only took him 65 hours to finish it.   That's gonna be my whole Christmas holiday gone! Get ready to be ABANDONED! Although I shall be back to whip your ass on Mario Kart

(I couldn't resist having a sneaky look on the school system to check that the lad in question wasn't missing any homework....... I may have had cause to "confiscate" his copy of Zelda if he did )

Could you drop by when you have a mo? My house is looking a little rough after Thanksgiving with all my company staying the weekend.
