Reply With Quote problem.

For some time now I can't seem to be able to quote other posters when replying to messages. I used to be able to. So I checked the "posting tips" link below but that is not much help as there does not appear to be a button to click on. I am sure it must be me missing something, but I am a bit clueless at the moment.

If you are commenting or replying, you may quote existing content on the page (for instance, someone else's post) by highlighting the text/content you wish to refer to and then clicking on the comment/reply button/link. The highlighted text will then be automatically inserted into the comment/reply box.

Thanks.

Thank you all for the quick responses.

I have tried the highlighting and pressing the quote button as advised, but that does not work.

Fortunately SazBomb answered my query. I am on a Mac and using Safari. So I either have to chose another browser or shift to an older PC.

Going to see if Opera has a Mac version as I have been using this browser on a PC and like it.

Thanks Charliesock / SazBomb and Blizz'ard.

me and Z have the same problem I'm using chrome on my work PC now. it works on FF on the mac but I didn't really like switching between browsers

What I do (on the laptop obviously ) is copy the text, open the reply box and type [ quote ] without the spaces, paste the text then type [ /quote ] again without the spaces... its not bad

I think for the time being I will do what some of you are doing and that is to copy and paste into the reply. It's going to make replying quickly just a bit slower, but hey, it's only until I have found and installed and tested a new browser.

I have just checked Opera and it has an installation for Mac OSX, but I am stuck with a slightly older version, so a check will need to be carried out.

If you are not familiar with Opera (link below), have a look at it. I quite like it.
