Don't know if it's been nationally announced, but I've just heard on the Scottish news that airports in Scotland and Northern Ireland were closed again today because of volcanic ash!

It was on the news here a night or two ago that they were expected to close (sorry, I can't be accurate.... been a long week

None. But I secretly hope it doesn't come before Tuesday cos my favourite song's released here on that day. It can come after that. 
Yep they are closed and it might affect the whole of the Uk again etc.In one of our papers up here (scotland) a scientist stated that there's the potential that there will be a huge eruption as the Icelandic volcano supposedly is very unstable.

We guard against terrorism-- but Mother Nature causes more mahem in the end. Just think what would happen if the Caldera in Yellowstone decided to erupt again---- I have seen the film, and the consequences.. 
Real..saw that programme too.A "Super Volcano" it's allegedly overdue.It would cause a mass extinction of life on earth,who knows if we or what would survive.

The current level of volcanic activity is normal and the experts do not consider that there is any imminent threat of a catastrophic eruption, though nothing can be ruled out.
The last 2 catastrophic eruptions occurred at intervals of 800,000 years and 660,000 years. The last one occurred 640,000 years ago, so assuming that the next one occurred at the 660,000 year interval we have another 20,000 years to go before the next one.
