I was gonna say, sounds like it could be someone you (or one of the family) know who has been in and seen what you have. Doesn't sound random. Is there any way you could put a word out to see if any of the stuff is selling locally? Also maybe try the local pawn shops in case any of the phones show up?

If you could get someone who knows the local scags to find out for you undercover (not making out they know you) - then you may be able to find out who did it. The police will take an inventory of the stuff taken but cos this sounds like an inside jobby you'll might get more results trying to find out your own way.

Although chances are that whoever was involved might be known to the police anyway,cos it sounds like they knew what they were doing, so you may get a result on that front.

Phone the police back and tell them to get a move on.

My friend's partner was in his remote cottage in sussex fast asleep and two men broke in, couldn't open the gun cupboard so hit him on the head with something to wake him, got the keys and then stabbed him 12 times and left him for dead
he came round and managed to call 999 and he has survived but when you see where the kife went in you just wonder how he can be alive
they took all the guns and all the kitchen knives
They have not been caught and for anyone who lives locally
It happened in Crawley Down

The police are shit, There is this geezer I know, in his 50s, had his shed broken into....phoned the police who said they would send someone out, they didnt, he phoned back while the thiefs were still in his shed and told the police he had shot em.....they were there pretty quickly after that

China .... that's awful ... I know how angry you must be feeling ... I had a similar experience a few years ago ... they stole all of my jewellery, including stuff that had belonged to my mother ... .... Police knew who they were ... teenagers who had done quite a few houses around ... of course they never caught them with any of the stuff ...
