I met a woman last weekend, I told her i knew she just got of out a relationship and and I would wait but I texted her last night telling her if I texted or rang her if I Iwas was drung to ingore it because I
was out out with my mate's to ignore it, was that wrong or did I scare her off off?

I'd say not sending drunken texts would be the safest thing to do. Then you wouldn't have had to warn her. 
The first time I ever spoke to mr summer was when he called me after a night out drinking, he was lovely, funny and I took the mickey out of him loads the next day
