Tupps.... The job was a Careers Advisor in a University... it so wasn't for him. Questions from the panel such as "have you ever conducted a face to face interview?" & "how many interviews do you think you have conducted?"

WTF!!!

He'd have died a slow painful death there!

I am trying to encourage him to do a bit of recruiting on his own for the rest of the year... the opportunities are there, and he only needs to place 2 or 3 candidates for us to be ok.

Sorry to hear that.....but if you feel that it probably would not have been for the best...
I hope you both show your resilience and are facing brighter things very soon.
