I'm there now but haven't had a nosey round yet....will see how it goes then decide wether or not to stay there

Imagine it like this:-
At the moment there's a cyberdesk somewhere with two cyberboxes on it.
One box is labelled 'Live Cloud' and the other is 'GaGaJoyJoy'. Shortly a cyberperson is going to come along and put the 'GaGaJoyJoy' box INSIDE the 'Live Cloud' box, but the contents of the 'GaGaJoyJoy' box will be unchanged. We can look at the Live Cloud stuff IF WE WANT TO, but we can happily remain in the GaGaJoyJoy box without EVER having anything to do with Live Cloud except for the 'Log-in' page saying 'Log-in to Live Cloud'
so this forum will not be changing..just the path to get here so to speak?

I contacted them cause the format was what we are used to from C4 and will could all start a new here and feel comfy.
But...the mods havent let us down yet, they have been very helpful and top notch hosts, there is no reason why this wont be the same on Live Cloud, the forum over there isnt up and running yet so lets wait and see.
They always provide plenty of tech help for those that struggle with it and we have loads of our own FM's who will also help anybody who needs it.
We migrated as a family before, we can do it again, the whole point of coming here in the first place was that we can all stay together after C4 mugged us off...

The only real change is that you log into LiveCloud.com instead of GaGaJoyJoy.com.. the forum 'format' might be a little different (but then this felt different when we first moved).. you have additional functions like blogging, walls, music etc (but you don't have to use them if you don't want to).
No point in getting in a flap about something until it happens.. if when it is migrated it is rubbish then people can make suggestions.. if someone still doesn't like it then they don't have to stay, it's not compulsory.

Here you just click the quote folder icon and add your comments... on LiveCloud you highlight the text of the post you want to quote. Hit reply and it pastes it into the reply window then you can add your comments. BUT. It does not add the name of the poster who made the quote (without a bit of manual intervention) and multi-nested quoting that is pretty popular in these parts will start to get very messy... no clear delineation between multiple quotes and no indentation.

I'm confused on this one. Isn't the Forum moving to the Communities Section at LiveCloud. So there shouldn't be any changes in the way we post.
Posting on someone's wall on their LC account it different to the Forum. It's like FB and we don't have to go into it if we don't want.
Am I right or wrong?

Tayto it is my (and others) understanding that the content of gaga is moving over to LiveCloud but NOT the format of gaga. This is why we have been trying it out and mentioning faults where we find them. Not for the sake of it but more because of trying to get the environment workable when the big switch happens

Basically, highlight whatever text you want to quote, then click he reply button.. the text you highlighted will be quoted. This allows you to target the precise sentence/paragraph you are trying to reference, rather than an entire post, which is usually overkill.
