It's somewhere everyone should visit during their lifetime so that future generations will NEVER forget the atrocities that happened.
I agree with you Moomin. I have read many books and watched lots of programmes on the subject of The Holocaust, and believe it is important that we never forget what happened. It is a miracle that anyone survived in that Hellhole.
 My hubby is taking me to Krakow in April and we plan to visit Auschwitz when we are there. We have been warned that, no matter how well-informed you already are about The Holocaust, the visit is very emotional.

I've met a couple of people that physically survived Auschwitz. When I was at school in Australia we had to go to the holocaust museum & we had 3 survivors speak to us teenagers. I think by the end of the day most of the boys were crying too. Its something I don't think I'll ever forget.

I just hope that now that its gone it stays gone. It dosen't turn up with some scumbag group
