I have been taking a casual interest in the viewing figures for Celebrity Big Brother and the last series of Big Brother.
They have been falling and seem to have settled around 2.5M viewers, with a peak of just over 3M and a low point of around 1.5M.
It does seem that the viewing public have voted with their feet, but for the die-hards, do you think that we will still have BB in 5 years time?

There has been a very vocal clamour for LF from the outset. The fact that they gave us a small helping of LF after each eviction surely stands for something? And the huge viewing figures for it must tell them that LF is still wanted. So even if they're not ready yet to handle LF 24/7, I think there's been a good visible argument for a greater amount of LF for next series.
After all, SOMEBODY must be watching it 24/7, otherwise how would they know/decide what to put in the HLs? 
I think it might - depends very much if they maintain the improvement they've made since their first awful attempt. This series has been fantastic, people are talking about it and I think a lot of people who 'gave up' will give the next one a go now.

they really need to get rid of BotS...I don't actively 'watch' it all the time, but if it's on C5 after the main show it's usually on while i'm pottering around in here.... they're like kids who've just discovered 'dirty' words and are trying to see how shocking they can be.

It is absolutely vile. They all shout at each other, the more smuttier they are, the better they think they are.
Get rid of Alice - she is so not funny. Also get rid of Mark and Carol and Lauren.
I don't want to pee on anyone's fireworks but I can't really see it still being around in another 5 years.
Haven't Channel 5 only got the show for two years*? If so, they may decide to lay it to rest when the two years is up. However, if this year's 'normal' BB shows an increase in viewing figures they may take up the option of another year or two, who knows?
