Itβs a joke so many of these so-called civilians appear to be incredibly savvy with regard to the RTV medium.

C.S. One of the points I refer to when criticising the show and why I really would not care if it left our screens for good. I think of this as Pre-Celebrity Big Brother.
If Channel 5 were not so intent on milking the celebrity magazine interview market (see chavs, TOWIE & MiC) we may see some truly genuine members of the public who could have a proper 'journey' without the semi-celebrity lifestyles and experiences this lot have.
IMO this long ceased to be Big Brother and is more aligned to programmes like TOWIE, after all how many times have we discussed production crew scripting?

I agree EC ....still enjoying this particular series though
It's not BB as we once knew it and never will be again.
I just take it on face value, accept it's manipulated, know that the HM's will be a bunch of dislikeable tossers........and slag everyone off equally

The show has become increasingly marginalized since moving to C5 to the extent that I speak to people and they are unaware that civilian BB still exists let alone is running at the moment. The pre-launch publicity for this series was invisible and the media interest minimal. It isnβt being pushed despite being under contract until 2018 β suggests to me C5 are not setting the bar very high β but of course they must have a minimum expectation also; and it feels like a point of desperation has been reached.
Who would audition for the show now other than those that want a TV appearance at all/any cost?

Saturday is usually the worst day - i think even the hardcore fans feel they deserve a night off once a week!
It does make you wonder just how low those figures might go and if the "cull" will have a significant impact.
